ABOUT ME
My name is Dr Alex Fowke, and I am a Clinical Psychologist working in private practice offering a range of specialised psychological therapies and clinical supervision online and face-to-face from consulting rooms in Hampstead in North London.
I run my practice alongside my role as the clinical lead for a specialist NHS mental health service, and as an academic on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at University College London

I am accredited with BABCP as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, Supervisor and Trainer. I'm also a DBT supervisor and accredited DBT practitioner through the Society for DBT, as well as an intensively-trained Radically Open DBT practitioner.

I am registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a Chartered Member (CPsychol) and Associate Fellow (AFBPsS) of the British Psychological Society. I am a member of the Division of Clinical Psychology. I am also a Fellow of the Higher Education Authority (FHEA).
FEES & PAYMENT

For online working, the preferred method of payment is through bank transfer, although I also accept payment in cash or by debit/credit card when meeting with clients face-to-face.
I am registered as an eligible provider of psychological therapies with most of the main health insurers including Aviva, AXA and BUPA.
If you would like to pay for treatment through your insurer, please check first that your insurer provides cover for talking therapies or psychological interventions, and whether a referral from a GP or psychiatrist is required.
Please check for any other terms & conditions of your policy that may be relevant. If you have a policy with an insurer that isn't listed, please contact me and I am happy to liaise with them to negotiate billing.
